And so the Perth Academy S1 French Trip is over for another year… We’ve all laughed and joked and tried something new and made new friends and collected memories that we’ll keep for ever. Not bad for a week out of the classroom!
I’ve spent today uploading some of the pictures I didn’t get up during the week. Most have been retouched (slightly). Most have had some slight cropping to make them ‘better’ photos — or at least in Mrs W’s eyes. All should be at a slightly higher resolution than the original uploads.
If you’d like to find today’s uploads, they are arranged by event/day from the trip as follows (click on the bold type for links):
Day One (Sunday) — St Joseph and Ambleteuse — Hostel and Beach!
Day Two (Monday) — Boulogne, Cheese Factory and Aqualud — Monday was also the night of the STORM!
Day Three (Tuesday) — The Bakery, the Chocolate Factory, the Pottery and we even managed Cité Europe as well!
Day Four (Wednesday) — Calais Market and “The Calais Challenge” followed by the magnificent Calais A Du Talent!
Day Five (Thursday/Friday) — The extra day! Ypres and Tyne Cot followed by The Road Home!
There is no doubting that this has been a fantastic experience for all concerned, and that has only been possible because of the truly wonderful children who came on the trip. They have been truly magnificent and a credit to their parents, the school, and most importantly, themselves!
And that’s it! We’re hoping to organise a slideshow night fairly soon and I’ll be putting a selection of the very best photos on a CD at full resolution for you to keep. If you want a copy of a specific photo of your child just ask them to let me know which one and I’ll get it to you!
One last word from me (promise)… can I just say a great big thank you for all the kind comments I received when we got back to the school about the blog! I’ve really enjoyed keeping you up to date, and I look forward to seeing some of you again on the Battlefields Trip in 2011!
Cheers,
Mr W
